Describe your perfect day...

...within reason. No day trips to Paris.

Re: Describe your perfect day...

  • This past Saturday was a perfect day in my book. We all get up early, eat breakfast at home, then head out to get errands done [grocery shopping, post office, other random things I put off during the week]. The rest of the day is spent vegging in the house, watching movies and playing with JJ. Throw in a bike ride or a circle around the block right around dusk [if it's not too hot outside], and it's even more perfect. I'm a big fan of generally lazy and relaxing days with my family.

  • This is hard... I can think up so many different scenarios that could be "perfect."

I would wake up relatively early and be refreshed, there would be some horseback riding involved, maybe a shopping trip, and a nice dinner out with a movie perhaps thrown in. Oh, and some quality reading time at home too.

  • This Saturday was pretty much perfect to me(except for DH working Sat. morning). M crawled into bed w/me and we cuddled for a while. I made pancakes and we watched some tv. Went to the toy store to get a present for a b-day party. Party was at splashpad and we had a blast. Ate lunch and both of us took a nap. For dinner we went to a resturant and ate until we were stuffed. Picked up some frozen yogurt from Orange Leaf and went back home and watched a movie as a family. It was a great day!

  • Well, since Paris is out...

The Saturday of Memorial weekend was pretty perfect.  So we had NOTHING to do that weekend we cleaned, mowed the yard, went to the grocery store, etc before the weekend.  We semi slept in (7am, baby), put the dogs out to pee, then brought them back in to cuddle with us in bed.  Those dogs LOVE to cuddle with us in bed - that's a real treat for them - but they normally only get to do it at night.  We probably hung around the bedroom with them until 10am or so, then hung out at the pool all day reading books, filthy celebrity gossip magazines and such.  You could definitely tell the cats were happy to be left alone and that the dogs were happy they were getting so much attention...I don't know.  It was just a really good day.  Very relaxing!

  • Wake up around 8:30, go swimming, have lunch with someone, take a nap, out to eat with the family, dessert, home to watch a movie.
