The couple who got married back in October, whose wedding I complained about at the time is now having a baby. I don't want to say it, but I feel so sorry for the poor child, because its parents aren't going to last 3 years between how the wedding went down, and how much they rushed into things. I am just glad that the baby will have a good set of grandparents and aunts and uncles. Do I sound like a complete bit** for saying that? Please be honest.
Re: Need to vent...
Given that I know someone who rushed into a courthouse marriage and then has complained on Facebook about how he's walked out on her several times and is now posting about how excited she is to be picking up her wedding dress and planning her real wedding, I'd say you're more than justified. I'm feeling bad for my friend's 2 yr old.
I don't remember much of your earlier postings about this couple but as you know them much better than we ever could, I would agree with Mark that you are justified in your feelings.
A baby isn't a solution to relationship problems even though some people seem to think so. You said the baby would have a good set of grandparents and other family so hopefully they will help guide the child.
Thanks. I needed to hear that. I feel like such a bad person sometimes when I think things like that. I am sure that all of the future aunts are rolling their eyes too, but I could never bring it up.
Michelle- to catch you up- the bride stormed away on the wedding day because she didn't like how one of the groom's sisters was dressed. And that was the worst of the story. I won't get into the rest.
