Sunday Night Blues:-(

Here it is another sad Sunday night for me because the reality is hitting me that I have to go back to work tomorrow. Sound familiar anyone? I work in the mental health field and am absolutley DRAINED! Between my co-workers and my clients I am frustrated to the max. It probably doesn't help that I am pregnant too which only adds to my agitation. I know I should feel blessed to have a job when so many don't but I really hope that after I have my baby I will be able to find something else which makes me happy. Cheers to the work week all lets make it the best it can be! (Thanks for reading my vent folks!)

Re: Sunday Night Blues:-(

  • I know how you feel. I'm grateful to have a paycheck, but I hate my job. I'm working there still until I can find something better, but it doesn't mean I look forward to going in. I've come to dread it.

     Hang in there!!

I also work in the mental health field, can you give me a little more information about what you do? I know how stressful this line of work can be and how often we were drilled about self care throughout my graduate program. Sometimes it just helps to have someone else who understands.

  • @ quirky75 Thanks! You hang in there too. I hope you find something soon! It is an awful feeling to hate your job @saralynn7 yes it is very important to take care of yourself when working in this field. I work with mentally ill adults who suffer from schizophrenia bipolar etc. Most of my clients are frequently hospitalized, jailed homeless you name it and we care for them. We do have a few who  depend on us for everything from grocery shopping to medical doctors etc! They take advantage of having us around. You are absolutely right too, it does help to have someone that understands.
  • I've worked with similar clients before and it's exhausting. I can't imagine what it would be like with difficult coworkers. If you need to chat about it at all feel free to shoot me a PM! :)
