Fourth of July (day) and weekend plans?

Not sure if this has been asked?
It's kind of odd to have the Holiday fall on a Wednesday, I know many have probably taken the whole week off. For us we will be doing some home renovating tomorrow and then take a brief escape to the Hamptons over the weekend.
What about you?

wow, have a great trip to the Keys!
I am going to the beach for 2 nights but i have to work. YES. the wed. holiday sucks for me b/c I couldn't spare the PTO to make a real trip out of it.
*luckily I'm driving distance (45 min) from some good beaches.
