... BFP this morning!! Aaagghhh!!
DH isn't letting us spill the beans to family until after my doctor's appointment on 7/10, so I hope you don't mind me going crazy here! I am trying to find a cute way to tell the parents.
I'm also trying to be cautious at the same time. I've had a few friends have several M/C's over the past 6-8 months, so I don't want to be too cocky.
We're going to be with his family this upcoming weekend and it's going to be SUPER obvious that I'm not drinking a few adult beverages in the evenings. I hope I can keep a poker face because I have a feeling one of the women will ask about it.

Oh my goodness!! Congratulations!
Is any family member at the party having a birthday soon? You could give them a birthday card from the little one (Happy birthday Gpa/Gma/ Auntie/ Uncle). This would be perfect if fathers or mothers day hadn't passed but birthday is the next big thing that is personal that I can think of.
Thanks! Of course, my mom's birthday was just over the weekend! I'm thinking of giving her a "belated" card next week after the appointment and saying something like, "Sorry to have missed your birthday! I just didn't realize, yet! Love, Baby Last Name." That's a rough draft since I don't really know how I want the second sentence worded!

We did two different things to tell out parents. For H's we bought them each a book. MIL's was "I Love you Grandma" and FILs was titled "I Love You Grandpa" or something like that.
For mine we told my parents we would bring the watermelon to a family gathering. We dressed it in a onsie and used Mr. Potato Head parts for a face an arms.

I'm pretty sure H's family is watching me like a hawk for this even though I've explained multiple times we don't want kids for at least 5 years.

I agree! We were hanging out with DH's parents last weekend. When we got to the river, his mom made cocktails. I was drinking mine, and she said "well, since you're drinking, i guess that means no big announcement yet." LOL. Now, in her defense, DH did tell her I stopped taking my birth control. So, both families know that we're not preventing.

We told both sets of parents tonight with "baby" related frames that said, "This frame is empty. Please fill me in March 2013." I recorded both reactions. I wish I would have recorded MIL's reaction longer because she was so funny! My mom said, "I knew it! I knew it! I knew last week!"
I bought a onesie at Kohl's that said, "My Auntie Rocks" and has a guitar on it. That's my sister to a "T" so I'm giving that to her as soon as I can. For SIL and BIL, we are giving their 5-year-old daughter her birthday gift this Saturday. I'm going to hand her a frame that says, "Cousins" and says something similar to the "fill me" phrase. I figure she'll just go, "Eh..." and hand it to her mom, so it will be perfect. She'll get it.
Ha! Yeah we got grilled last night from DH's sister. "Do you have something to tell me?" "Are you hiding something?" "I feel like there's something you need to share." For about 5 minutes. DH had to tell her about 20x that we aren't pregnant. All that came about from me asking how to spell her boyfriends name, ha, she thought we were thinking of baby names. I've told my mom that we have been trying (but she's not allowed to bring it up or ask questions, ha, which she's been good about). But he doesn't want to tell his family yet. It would spread like wildfire, and we don't want the world to know.
