Re: What's for Dinner??

  • Was going to be indian masala, but went to go grocery shopping and my debit card didnt work. Joined bank accounts with H last week and apparently my card was cancelled automatically and they didnt notice, had told me it would work until I started using the card thats coming in the mail. Therefor no grocery shopping till H gets home, but its date night anyways, so we'll probably go out before going to the movies.
  • i'm thinking leftovers, because we're having a huge family bbq tomorrow at our house and we will have a TON of food, so i'm needing to clean out the fridge :)

  • Chicken in Escabeche from Rick Bayless "Mexican Everyday" book.

The everyday recipes are usually really easy and quick to throw together, I can't wait to try this one!  :)

  • Homemade pizza!  Hubby makes the best crust!  I picked up some onion, jalpenos, and tomatos for my pizza. Can't wait :)

  • I took today off since I took yesterday for my bday and I figured I could get a lot of name change stuff done, which I did. So for lunch I made a yummy margarita pizza from scratch, and for dinner we're grilling steaks and I'm making corn on the cob and mac and cheese to go with it!

can you post his crust recipe, please?!  i have a recipe, but it's not that great, it's just quick and easy.

  • I don't feel so bad for saying how bad dinner was for us so not healthy but I saw others saying take out and stuff. We did all deep fried foods. So bad I know but it was so quick and easy.
  • citrus glazed pork and veggie kabobs on the grill.

I second this! I can't find a decent/ easy recipe so I always just get the dough at the store.

Also, we're totally not having peach salads- Took advantage of the cooler day and made veggie lasagna.

It's a Better Homes & Garden recipe that he's perfected over the last few years. Here is the recipe:

     http://www.bhg.com/recipe/pizza/pizza-dough/

After the dough is rolled out, he puts olive oil on it. He bakes the crust for 10-12 minutes, puts the cheese and toppings on, and lightly tops it with olive oil again. He said it soaks into the crust making it soft but still crunchy in the bottom.

    Enjoy!
