Wen - any insight?

Does anyone use Wen brand shampoo/conditioner? Any insight to the product? I am thinking of switching from John Frieda... Thanks!

Re: Wen - any insight?

  • Sorry, Just saw the other Wen post. Sorry nevermind!
  • I can't find the other Wen post (and I'm too lazy to do some heavy searching) but I use Wen, and I love it.  That being said there are some cons. It's expensive, and you have to use a lot of product.  Wen recommends that I use 30-40 pumps in my hair.  I use about 20-25... so less than they recommend, but it's still a lot of product.

And trust me, you'll look at the instructions and say "psh whatever, I'll just use 10." and then you will hate it.

I was lucky enough to go to the final ever QVC Beauty Bash (sad panda that they stopped doing that) and in my box there was a small bottle of every Wen scent.  For my hair, I loved pomegranate the best.  If you have oily hair, get the Aloe & Cucumber one.  If you have dry, coarse hair, try the Fig one.  The two they recommend for everyone is the Pomegranate or the Sweet Almond one.

I always buy mine from QVC whenever it's the Today's Special Value, because you can usually get a really good deal.

These. But I don't like any varieties except the sweet almond mint. I broke down and bought the gallon size while they are available in June.

I haven't bought the gallon size... because I had the TSV from a few months ago that is the 64oz in your scent, the 16oz in the seasonal scent, a Pomegranate finishing creme, and a 6oz styling creme in your scent.  I went through the White Tea Gardenia (spring seasonal) and still have my whole bottle of 64 oz Pomegranate left... and I'm going to be getting the summer shipment in a few weeks, so I'm good.  I don't need a gallon at the moment!

  • I have been using Wen for about a year and I am still obsessed with it. My favorite scent if their seasonal pumpkin. Otherwise, I use the sweet almond every day. The best way in my opinion to go is buy the pack with all 5 formulas and see what works best as they really are different. Good luck!
