How was the holiday for everyone??
I feel like it's been slow this weekend, so I hope that means that everyone was relaxing and enjoying at least a little bit of time off!

I definitely enjoyed the holidays. In fact, I am still on "vacation," as many of the schools in our area have off for the first day of deer hunting season. I had two Thanksgivings and went Black Friday shopping for the first time- I actually really enjoyed it!
We had a nice vacation and really enjoyed the time just to relax in our home for a change. We watched a lot of movies and then did a little shopping yesterday.
I'm definitely not ready to be back today.

It was a great long weekend. I wish we had just one more day! Thanksgiving went fairly smoothly & was nice. We had 10 adults and 2 children with minimal drama. We got a lot done over the weekend too ... gifts for half of our list of people to buy for are bought, the Christmas tree is up, almost all of the decorations are out, and 8 dozen cookies are baked for my family cookie exchange.

It was nice, although very busy. We had 27 people at my parents house total for dinner, so lots of prep work for that much food! We did a fair amount of shopping, but I kind of wish we were able to spend more time at home instead of being away all weekend. Then again, if I were home, I'd be missing my family so its a tough decision.
I really wanted to get our tree cut yesterday and put it up, but that didn't happen, so we'll have to wait until this next weekend.?
