Are there any sprinkler/kiddy water play parks around town? If there are is there a fee to get in and how much?
I have my 2 boys and it has been so hot lately. I wish we could go jump in our apartment pool. But I can't do that alone with both kids and since we do live in an apartment I dont have access to a hose to just let them run around under. They love playing in water though...I'm sure they miss their water table that we left at grandma's house because we moved into the apartment.
Edit- I'm Right off 376 in Forest Hills.

Re: Kiddy Spalsh parks?
We love our puddle jumper! I do agree with you though, it is hard taking both kids in the pool alone.

I like the park in Leetsdale, although it is not exactly close.
What part of town do you live in? You could bring the boys to my house to have a water play date with my girls. We can bust out the kiddie pool and sprinkler. I am in Crafton.

I'm in between Forest Hills and Wilkinsburg...I think I'm technicly in Forest Hills lol. Right off 376 at any rate. I'm up for a drive if it means cooling off in some water...lol!
I think I am taking Cora to the Spray Park in Round Hill this weekend. Looks fun!
Send me an e mail at gearhart7800 at hotmail dot com we can perhaps arrange something for early next week.
Today we went to a spray park in Beechwood. It was nice but CROWDED with bigger kids.
there is a spray park in troy hill and beechview also, and Deer Lakes area at the Park.
You can play in the fountains at PPG place down town. They say you must have clothesand shoes ( i think to prevent creepers from seeing kids and kids/teens being in appropriatly dressed) I take Adam in his suit but he wears trunks and a rash gaurd...he wears keen sandals all summer so he runs right in!

You can also play in the watersteps on the hill by PNC park on the Noth Shore.

when they are done with the point fountain it will be open for wading as well, but that is a couple years off...

Roundhill Farm has a free one in their park. Right across is a new playground too. We try to go a few times a summer -- the kids love it.
We're about 10-15 mnutes from Round Hill, so we take DD there at least a few times each summer. We try to wait until later in the day though to miss some of the crowds.
