I hope everyone had a good Fourth of July! This week has MESSED with me since the 4th was on a Wednesday. First of all, I woke up Wednesday morning, totally thinking I had gotten paid the day before, but then realized nope, it was only Wednesday. Bummer! All day at work yesterday, it felt like a Monday. Today definitely doesn't feel like Friday, but I am oh so glad it is! I could get used to having 2 Fridays a week....I didn't like the feel of 2 Mondays though :-)
Hope everyone stays cool this weekend! DH and I are going Jet-Skiing tomorrow, and the high is 104! I'll be spending the majority of the time in the river!

Yeah I've been so confused the past few days.. since I also took thurs & fri off I'm totally lost on what day it is! But I'm going to be very sad once sunday night comes, haha. But I'm excited because you just reminded me that today was payday!

Payday is awesome! We're going down to the Ohio River. HIs parents have a little place in between Madison and Vevay. We'll go jet-skiing in between Markland Dam and the bridge in Madison and we'll venture into the Kentucky River. It's definitely low than normal, but the one good thing about the river, is that it's guaranteed to be 13 ft in the channel for the barges. We were there last weekend, and there's more beach than normal. It's going to be soo hot down there though!

It was so nice to have H home on wednesday. It did make Tuesday feel like friday and thursday feel like monday for us both. Tuesday we went to see the Orchestra. When the 1812 Overture played H and our friend were not expecting cannons going off even though they saw them when we were there. 4th was nice too. there was a band playing Beatles songs in the park while we waited for fireworks to go off.
This weekend we will be going to see our families. My brother and H's dad share the same birthday. Sounds like FIL wants to see a movie at the Alamo Draft House. Our friend, who went to 4th festivities with us, will be going with us oot. I would like to go to the lake but the water levels are still extremely low from last years drought. It's very sad.
I am on meds that are not doing anything for the pain but I have way more energy. So this weekend visit should be better then Easter.
I'm glad this weekend will be better than Easter weekend! Sucks that your meds aren't helping with the pain. Least you do have more energy and feel like doing things though!

We're heading to the beach tomorrow for the day, though we're only staying til just after lunch since we have a party to go to at night. It's being thrown by friends of my family who are in their 70's. Lovely people, but we KNOW we're the youngest "adults" going aside from this couple's grandkids who are in their 20's. At least my dad will be there along with a few other older folks we know.
I had a 2 day work week and thankfully it's been slow today and yesterday, I had very little desire to get work done. I'm mostly still apartment searching since we have to move in 3 weeks (!!!!)
Yup. I am a happy camper that I am able to do more/ be more alert. Still sucks that I am in pain through it all. Having that energy though makes it so much easier to ignore the pain and have fun. The doc called to check up on me and let me know my test results. I told him and he wants me to continue to take it for two more weeks and see how I am feeling then.

Gearing up for another fun and exciting weekend at work. Just 5 more shifts and I can join the rest of the world in being happy about Fridays and weekends...

I worked all week (including the 4th) so I am off this weekend. Other than a co-worker possibly coming over tonight so I can help her with her resume, I plan to do pretty much nothing :P
