Now that it's coming up on 8 months for us all, anyone have any exciting plans for their first anniversary?
We are thinking of doing a weekend in the mountains of Vermont or the Poconos. Something cute with a fireplace was my only request!
Re: Anniversary Plans
I really want hubby to get a vacation though he really hasn't had one since he started this job three years ago and even our honeymoon was only 2 days really. So maybe I can get him to take a week off and go do something relaxing.

DH and I are going to a local small town with a pier and an adorable downtown district. We're going to eat at a nice Italian restaurant, exchange gifts, and walk the pier/beach at sunset.
We originally wanted to take a short cruise that we didn't end up getting to go on for our HM, but we're closing on our house next month, so we'll probably still be way too broke for a cruise, haha.

I may have told you ladies this before, but in a hilariously ironic twist, the NFL has scheduled Steelers vs. Giants on Sunday, November 4. Our first anniversary. LOL. I kind of really want to go to the game, and we have a couple friend who are the opposite of us (husband Giants fan, wife Steelers fan), I think it would be fun to go with them.
Otherwise, we are still trying to work out a belated honeymoon. Life keeps getting in the way but I figure if we don't go before our first anniversary it won't really be a honeymoon anymore.

Batman was supposed to be a symbol of hope and bring justice. Not spark violence.
I want to stay in some sort of cabin for a long weekend. So we shall see.
If hubby finally gets a job, then he won't be able to take the time off; if he doesn't get a job, we can't afford to go anywhere. So, it will probably be just one night at our wedding night hotel.
I got my dress shortened (it's just above knee length now) so our plan is to dress up in our wedding outfits, and go out for a fancy dinner. It should be fun, since we live in a SUPER casual beach town.
I think we would have planned a trip or something, but we are going to NYC with my family for Thanksgiving week, so we're just going to do that instead.
