If you have been to Bermuda..

Any recommendations for places to stay, things to do, etc? We are looking to possibly go the end of July early August. It will be just my husband and I, no kids.

Thanks for your help! ;)

We stayed at a wonderful B &B called Granaway. The people that own it make you feel like family. They have a lovely garden and pool and a private dock across the road. We loved meeting couples from all over the world during our stay. Others will say don't rent a scooter because it's dangerous but we never had any problems during either of our visits and riding over just about every square mile of the island was our favorite part. There's a park called Astwood where we had a little cove and beach to ourselves all day long you just have to be willing to climb down some rocks:) in the summer they have Harbour Nights in Hamilton which was fun: vendors, local bands, and dance groups, etc. We didn't find the snorkeling to be very good compared to other places we've been but there are some sunken in ships. Bermuda is gorgeous and we just loved riding around and checking it all out! On our first trip the hotel had a storyteller one evening that told all about the history of the island- so interesting! You will love it, no what to have a bad time in Bermuda!

  • I went to Bermuda in 2005 so my memory is a bit dusty!  I stayed at Grotto Bay Beach Resort.  It was very close to the airport and convenient.  I remember taking walks down the local restaurant (believe it was called Swizzle Inn) almost every night because that area was fun.  I visited Tobacco Bay since people had told me snorkeling was very good there.  I just remembered being disappointed - actually the snorkeling in Bermuda is not the top of my list at all.  But definitely rent the scooters, as PP said.  It's a great way to explore the island!
