So it seems a lot of us have trouble finding a hair salon
I was searching back through posts looking for a recommendation to get a hair cut and it seems a lot of us have had trouble in HoCo finding a place to get a hair cut. I just can't justify the price when all I want is a trim because it's summer and I want my hair shorter.
Since a lot of the past posts are a year or two old, has anyone had luck finding a salon that they like that isn't $70 for a simple trim? I work in Rockville so I wouldn't mind any place in between either.

Re: So it seems a lot of us have trouble finding a hair salon
I had a keratin treatment done at Hair Pros of Columbia and was extremely happy with how it turned out. The owner Jenny is great and seems like it would be a great place for a cut too. Her prices are very reasonable as it is still a new salon and she is trying to attract business.
I go to Salon Red in the Kentlands for a cut and color. They are the best, but expensive.
It sounds like you'd recommend a keratin treatment. What is your hair like naturally? I've been tempted by it, but don't know if I want to shell out the money! My hair thick and long (past my shoulders) and naturally frizzy/wavy. I can put product in it to make it pretty curly, but even then its fairly frizzy. If I blow-dry and straighten it, which I love the result of, it takes me about an hour...so I only do it about once a week.
You think a keratin treatment would help?

My hair isn't straight or curly. If I didn't blow dry it it was a big frizzy mess with some waves. Blow drying would take me about 30 minutes and if it was humid out it would be frizzy in about 5 minutes.
After the keratin it takes me 5 minutes to blow dry and is straighter than I could ever get it myself. I can even let it air dry and there is no frizz. I actually think it was life changing
I can go running in heat and humidity, sweat, and still have a straight ponytail when I am done!
I had a groupon for hair pros so it was half price. I am not sure I would have tried it otherwise, but I will be getting it done every 6 months! She said their regular price is $225 so that is a little more reasonable than other places I have seen.
