Job Update
So I did not get the job that I interviewed for in my hometown. They actually decided they wanted to go for a full-time Spanish teacher instead of a mixed position. I'm definitely not the most qualified for full time Spanish as I am more knowledgeable and experienced in Social Studies. So their needs changed and though I am bummed b/c I was ready to move back home and settle down, I'm also super duper grateful to not have to move right now with a month left of summer. The financial implications of moving were posing a huge problem too so I think it's all working out for the best. I'm going back to teaching inner-city Watts/Compton next year. So on the one hand, I definitely am glad to go back to what is comfortable and known this year. 
Somehow I think God has more work for me to do in inner-city and my ideas are already flowing. We'll take a look at things again next year.

I'm sorry it didn't work out with the job. I know it must have been a bit disappointing.
I think those kids in Watts/Compton are so lucky to have you. Someone who really truly cares so much about them and they will benefit from having you around for another year.
