** Amers **

Related to my post a week or so ago about that piece of molding over our door...

In your opinion, would something like this (the one in the middle) look good on our house?

Re: ** Amers **

  • Butting in, yes I think that would look great on the house. Plus having that little bit of cover is really nice when it is raining and your guests are waiting at the door for you to let them in!
  • Thanks, Amanda! I think so too. It'll make the front of the house look less flat, and provide a function at the same time. Unfortunately, we can't add anything during the building process, but we'll put it on the to-do list for after closing.
  • I love the look of that middle one, I think it'll look great! Much better than the molding. :) You'll also be happy when entering through the front door on a rainy day!
  • We'll see if this front door gets any use. Maybe as the kids get older and they have visitors of their own. At our current home the door is exclusively used by Jehovah's Witnesses. Everyone else just lets themselves into the garage!

  • Yes, I like that.

And, personally, I would see if you can get the metal roof in a color like a terra cotta. Will help to highlight the front door and add some warmth to the overall color of the house.
