Daily Poll

Since we all seem to want more traffic on this board, let's start doing daily polls! Anyone can do them, but since I'm currently unemployed I'll try to make one by noon or so if no one else has yet :).

Sorry if this topic is stupid, I tried to think of something really domestic. Lol.

FIRST ONE!

Re: Daily Poll

  • DH will help me cook...but I'm a little bit of a control freak in the kitchen so he only does a few things.  He pretty much always does the dishes, though, because I hate doing that chore.  But, in exchange, I am the defacto bathroom cleaner of the household.

haha - we're the exact opposite. I do the dishes, he is in charge of bathrooms :).

  • Other: Before baby, we would share the cooking & cleaning, no set order, sometimes it was whomever was home first would cook or who ever left last (for night classes) would clean up, then after DD was born I do more housework and baby wrangling and DH tends to cook & do dishes/leftovers more. Now that DD is eating more "grown up: foods we try to site down as a family more often. I miss cooking and got to cook a few things this past month and I love it, thankfully DD is taking an interest in watching us cook too. Let's hope it keeps up ;)

  • Other - it depends on who gets home first, and what we're having.  He's the grill master, I conquer the stove.  But if he gets home first, he cooks.  If I get home first, I usually cook.  If it's a meal that he cooks and I get home first, I prep and clean, and he cooks, or vice versa.

RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.

  • I voted for other: With DH working nights now, I cook & clean up on the nights when DH is working. On his days off he cooks because he loves to do it, and he usually cleans up too to give me a break.

When we first bought our house we would cook together all the time, which we both really enjoyed, but we rarely get a chance to do that now :(

  • I cook and we normally clean up together.  One washes and one dries, this gets us out of the kitchen faster.

  • He does most of the cooking because I am not a huge cook.  I clean up.  It seems though even when I do cook, I also clean up though too.  He is a messy cook too.
  • I do the majority of the cooking.....and then he cleans up. Our rule is: I cook, you clean!

So when he cooks I clean up. But he's never home lol.
