Big decisions made this weekend
After over a month of apartment hunting, DH and I spoke to the leasing office of our current building and they had come down drastically on the renewal rate. So we decided to renew our lease for another year.
It also got us talking very seriously about when we're going to TTC. Originally we said 'around our first anniversary', then 'well, maybe starting early fall', but now we decided that we are officially going to start in December. This way we can get in another big vacation in Nov/early Dec and then when we're moving next summer the most I'd be is about 7 months along (DH has already said if that's the case I'm not to lift or pack anything....I told him I want that in writing!!).
These are all huge stress relievers, as we now know where we're going to live in 2 weeks and we actually have a clear plan for the next year or so. We know TTC can take time, so it's also nice to not be in a 2 bedroom quite yet so if it does take a while we wouldn't feel like it's a waste of a room and we could have just stayed.

That must be a huge relief.
We moved when I was 6 months preg. All I packed was my clothes and some art stuff. I made a huge effort to clean right before we left burnout one would let me.

We decided that instead of packing, we're going to go room to room in our apartment and organize and de-clutter. When we moved in last year, we were combining two apartments. Now that it's been a year we can see what we actually use and what we don't. Plus we have all our wedding gifts on top of that, so we can toss anything that has been replaced by new items. And we'll finally decorate! I'm so excited!
Congrats on the decision. That is all very exciting!
De-cluttering before a move while packing is so much easier then doing it after being settled in.

How exciting!! We moved the week after our wedding and it was so nice to talk all our wedding stuff out and put it in the right places and throw out all the old stuff!!
