How do you do it?

How do you ladies do it if you are selling your current home and moving into a new home you purchased? Do you coincide the closing dates so youmove everything from first house to second in one day, do you do a rentback? Do you rent a place once your house sells, or move in with parents/Ils? We sold out house ( closing in two weeks), but our house won't be finished bring built till sept, so we are renting a two bedroom townhouse till the house is finished:)

The sellers of the home we just purchased were in the same position as you. They countered our offer with the condition that they are able to rent the home from us for two months. Their agent set up the rental agreement, and their rent was the full payment of our monthly mortgage. We were flexible with our time frame, but I imagine not all buyers are able to be flexible. The sellers also threw in the washer and dryer to help sweeten the deal.

The sellers of the home we just purchased were in a similar situation as well...our contract with the sellers stated that we would give them up to 20 days to give possession over to us. So, they are essentially renting from us for those 20 days but they aren't paying us rent or anything (it was really just a concession agreed to by both parties in the purchase agreement-we weren't paying full asking price so that was part of it too I guess)
