B&M Monday

I need to get this one started today...

Re: B&M Monday

  • Just got notified that my director at work is switching positions. It's great for her, she'll have less stress and a higher level position (now Asst. Superintendent). HOWEVER, she was a big factor when I decided to take the position. She's so supportive and great to work for. Even when tempted to look elsewhere, I always said that I wouldn't leave with her there. Now we'll apparently be getting a new director and I'm bummed. It's making me dread next year already.

  • My car started making a funny noise over the weekend. M told me to leave work early and get it to the mechanic. Turns out my motor mounts are broken. (Hello engine in my lap... Okay not really) They want $600 to fix it :(

M is all "I hate your car; it's old and everything seems to go wrong with it." It is 12 years old but its paid for and that trumps a few repairs here and there IMO.

So now he's running around buying parts trying to beat a thunderstorm so he can at least replace the upper mount himself tonight. I hate being an adult sometimes.

  • I apparently forgot to TURN OFF MY CAR this morning. So yeah, it was running for about a good 4 hours before someone noticed.

Ryan's leaving Saturday for 2 weeks...after booking his flight, he now wants me to find him a hotel room. Really? Can you not book a hotel for yourself? Because I'm not busy or anything.

The "Fantastic Buy" that my husband bought (a truck from a friend) has been in the shop 3 times since he bought it. I didn't want to purchase it to begin with. I am pissed at DH and his friend.

Our "guest" that's been staying with us since APRIL is STILL in our fracking house. He is in the process of divorcing his girlfriend (common law wife). Its freaking drama EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. He's with her, he's not with her. I'm so over it and want him out of my house. Seriously dude, rent an apartment...GET OUT.

  • My Fil said he would mow our lawn while he was here so we cancelled our normal guy. Well it is getting really long and he isn't doing it until Friday. Not too much of a b&m just annoyed I can't get out in the yard and let brin play on the grass in this ice weather.

  • I pulled my back today. It was a little sore when I woke up this morning (I think I did something at the gym today), but overall okay. I bent over to pick Kali up this afternoon and felt the whole thing pull/tense up funny.

It hurts like crazy and the medicine is only marginally helping.

I told my Mom about and she's like, well, you must be getting old.

  • I got my schedule for next school year and it is absolutely awful.  They have me teaching periods 1,2,3,9,10.  What that means is teaching from 9-11 and then again from 3:45-5:15.  This means I will have 4.5 hours of down time in the middle of the day and then won't get home until 6:30, which sucks when have a toddler.  I am so annoyed!

  • I have a doctor's appointment next Monday and I HATE going to the doctors and it's the day we start our staycation. But I'd rather get it over with before the vacation so it's not hanging over my head the whole time we're trying to have fun.

  • I hate DH's job.  He's under appreciated, leaves before 5 in the morning most days and gets home after 8, spends about $600 in gas each month, and the list goes on and on...

He needs to get off of his duff and find himself a new job.  Pronto.

That's sooo tough! A director/principal can seriously MAKE or BREAK your everyday! My Asst Principal (who helped me grow but very, very, very painfully) notified that he is switching schools and we are getting someone new. It had the opposite effect on me... gave me hope for this year, lol. Hope you guys have a great replacement!

I agree!! My car is making noises too but it's external and not in the engine. It's just gonna have to wait until finances loosen up after school starts.

  • I have a board meeting on the day of our anniversary. So I will be working late. It's unavoidable.

David took the day off without checking the calendar or asking me. Oops.

But instead of celebrating the day before, or that morning which I already offered to stay home and have breakfast with him, or late that evening... he is going to visit his family in hometown. And then he will start a 2 day shift the day after.

Yes, I'm pisssed, and I know I have no right to be because I am working, but REALLY!?!?!?! He could have at least made plans with me before he went off and decided to be away for our anniversary. Yeah, we still have no plans to celebrate yet.

    My little loves

  • My Dad was bitten by a copperhead tonight - I posted about it above - they are in TN so I can't go check on him :-(
