BBC Next Book Selection - early start
Since we tend to take a while to select our books, I thought we could go ahead and get started with a general idea, then hone our way down to a selection. Do we want to go with a theme, like books with movies based on them, summer reading, etc.? Would you rather do a top 2 / top 3?
Re: BBC Next Book Selection - early start
I like the top 2/3, I think that's been working well for us.
My top "summer reading" book is: But Enough About Me: A Jersey Girl's Unlikely Adventures Among the Absurdly Famous, by Jancee Dunn.
Book that's also a movie: Wanderlove by Kirsten Hubbard.
And other book would be: Devil in the White City by Erik Larson.
Pomegranate Margarita
I like doing the top 2 or 3. I think it works and we get a varied selection.
Devil in the White City by Erik Larson is one I've been wanting to read.
My brain is dead so I can't think of any others at the moment.
Three books from my to-read list:
The Long Walk by Stephen King
Soulless by Gail Carriger
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
My Blog
My top 2 books this summer have been:
Daughter of Smoke and Bone
The Snow Child
My top to-reads are:
Ready Player One
The Book Thief
My Blog
Lets see: In no particular order:
Before I Fall - Lauren Oliver
The Five People You Meet in Heaven - Mitch Albom
The Host by Stephanie Meyer.
That sounds like fun, going on my list!
I'm going to have a lot of time to read in August, so I'm down for whatever. The only books on my list at the moment are Divergent (which I imagine a lot of people have read) and Shadow of the Night (by Deborah Harkness - book two of a trilogy, highly recommend the first book "A Discovery of Witches", great summer reading!)
