Murphy's soap oil?

My DH used this to clean some spots on the walls. But he missed the directions stating to dilute it....so now I have dark spots on the walls where he directly applied the soap oil! Is there anything I can do to remedy this? We tried to paint over a spot but the paint looks darker in that spot so that didn't solve anything.

Re: Murphy's soap oil?

  • Maybe try Magic Eraser?

  • You painted over it so it is probably sealed in already and isn't cleanable. To fix the spot, use Kilz on the oiled/painted area, and prime/repaint your wall. If this wall is in a high dirt/spot area, try a higher gloss paint that will be more cleaner-friendly.
