Hey girls
I haven't been here in quite some time... I don't know how life just gets away from you sometimes.. but you were all so much help in answering my questions and whatnot when I moved here, so I thought I'd come back and try and join in more.
Can any of you recommend a good gynecologist? I'm actually in Warwick but will drive to the ends of the earth for a good one. I'm absolutely terrified of gyno exams, so someone super nice and accomodating would be fantastic. I'm trying to get pregnant with baby number three and I just want to start scouting out.
Hope you guys are having a great summer!
Re: Doctor Recs?
I've gone to Marilyn Powers at Caring for Women in Warwick on Tollgate Road for almost 5 years now and she delivered my DS (and will hopefully deliver this LO!). She's super super nice. Just an FYI, she only delivers at Kent, in case you had a preference for what hospital you go to. The office staff is sometimes dense, but I deal with them because I think she's a great doc.
Good luck TTC!
As for changing your location, I don't believe that we can do it ourselves now. You may be able to get it changed by emailing feedback@thenest.com and requesting the change.
Here's an old post with recs:

Alicia summarized it pretty well. RI nesties left for a private group after lurkers that knew posters in real life spilled private info that they had shared on the board.
The rest of The Nest left, many for http://pandce.proboards.com/ after The Nest changed formats, which lost a lot of posts and did really funky things. TN has since changed back because everyone left, but most of the national boards are still posting on proboards instead. The bump didn't undergo the format change, so that's pretty much the same as it has always been.
OK, I found some of the old posts that dealt with OB/GYN recs. I know that the question came up relatively recently on one of the private boards. I'll look for those recs now.

Welcome to ri! I second Caring for Women. I used a different OB when I was pregnant and switched right after delivery so I don't have experience with them through pregnancy. I am really happy I made the switch. Good luck!

I agree that it's a shame so many people left. I'm hoping eventually enough old people will come back, or new ones will join in, but it's been slow going for a while now.
From Alicia's last list - Dr. Woodruff at Caring for Women has retired.
I just switched to Dr. Beitle in Providence....He is great!!
How can I join this group if I'm welcome?
