So H is out of town until the 19th. Last night was the second night without him and I slept worse than the first night. I'm running on like 3 hours of sleep with work! Any of you have any tricks that help you sleep?
I already have Insomnia so I take ambien but it hasn't helped. Any other ideas would really be appreciated!!
Re: No Sleep
Do you have a tv in your bedroom? Can you watch something really boring while you're trying to fall asleep?
Do you like to read? That always makes me eyes ready to close if I read right before bed.
Can you add a few pillows to the bed, next to you, so it feels like your H is there with you?
Play some music....classical or something soothing.
What about working out or going for a walk after dinner, so your body is more worn out and tired.

i'm by myself during the week and have always had a hard time falling asleep because i can't seem to shut off my brain. i found that if i run the fan, or have some kind of white noise going in the room it helps me fall asleep. i have one of those window fans so it's kinda noisy, not quiet like a ceiling fan, that probably wouldn't help me.
i read online recently (because everything on the internet is true) that the white noise can actually compete with your thoughts so it's easier for your brain to shut down... or something like that.. i don't know how true it is, but it seems to be working for me.
MIL likes to listen to podcasts to help her fall asleep, she's found some good ones that are interesting, but not too interesting, like history or some bible studies, and i guess the reader's voice is real soothing so it helps her fall asleep.
