What beach do you go to for the day?
we usually go to point pleasant for a day every summer - easy 1.5-2hr ride, we used to be able to rent a bathhouse/cabana thing, boardwalk and rides at night....the bathhouse thing may not work and it's just easier to have a less than public toilet and place to shower with the kids.
we're open to a great day trip locale - any suggestions?
Re: What beach do you go to for the day?
Last Summer we went to Hammonasett state park in CT....I like that its on the sound for the baby....the waves arent huge but big enough. The bathrooms and showers were super clean when we went last summer. http://www.ct.gov/dep/cwp/view.asp?a=2716&q=325210&depNav_GID=1650
Hope this helps!!

we stopped by a different CT beach on the way to Mystic two summers ago - it was pretty, but really rocky. Is this one like that too, or is it comfortable sand for the kids to sit on?
