Give me tips please! We are driving to Cali, from Texas, yup-22 hrs of fun! I am more nervous about how much to pack than the car ride itself. We will be gone about 9 days, plus 2 days of travel time. What are some things I need to make sure and pack and what should I save to purchase there?

Re: Traveling w/ baby
The trip "back home" is 11 hours. When KR was 7 months he slept most of the time, but I had a DVD player that he watched Baby Einstein over and over again. That saved us. Seriously.
Also snacks. Lots of snacks.
I could give KR toys, but he'd just throw them about 4 seconds after he got them...
Take a break every couple hours and give a massage so he isn't sore.

My rule of thumb for diapers is to figure how many you use in a day, multiply by the number of days then take an extra days worth. So if Mags used 5 a day and we went for 4 days I would take 25. Like you said, you can buy them there, but better to not spend more money on them then you would have to. When she was on formula, I would do the same thing. Just bring an extra days worth from her normal routine. We usually come home with a little extra, but we have never run out
