What's your fav OC restaurant/thing to do?
We usually go to Bethany Beach but this year we're switching it up and going to OC. I am really excited since I feel there is more to do there but I've only ever been on overnight trips or girl's weekends where we just go to bars. What are some good restaurants and/or things to do besides going to the beach? Thanks!
PS - We'd likely go anywhere for fun but we'll be on 71st street if that helps.

We'll be with DD but also with family so we'll have babysitters if there are things that just DH and I should do.
SK - PMed you...I'm weird about putting when I'll be away on public forums like this
Someone's getting a little brother!

For a Seafood Buffet - The Bonfire. Best value/quality we've found, given the amount of crabs DH can eat!
Irish Pub with a beachy twist - I love Shennanigan's. Their pizza fries are to die for! I like sitting outside and people watching on the Boardwalk.
Date night for you and your hubby - Fresco's. Nicer Italian restaurant
Other than the beach, our activities have included the boardwalk, putt putt, and seeing the ponies at Assateague.
Have fun!
Last year, I was 30 weeks pregnant with a two year old and we stayed on 70th street. We did the boardwalk one day (its kind of gone downhill since I was a kid, but there's still a lot to do and look at there). For breakfast we did Bayside Skillet and the Sahara Place that IDHT recommended....we almost didn't find it! Its a little hole in the wall but really good and they are so nice there.
Our first night in we were too tired so we ordered pizza from Pino's.....omg. best pizza ever. i have been dreaming about it ever since.
We had plans to go to Bonfire (DH worked there summers in college) but we never made it even though we were like RIGHT across the street. We ate at BJ's on the water for dinner one night.....it was pretty good. Also right around there is Big Peckers (haha) which we have eaten at in the past and its pretty good too. Everyone says that Dead Freddy's is a good place to go with kids.
There is a huge awesome park up on the north end of OC that is on the bay side and has nice walking trails and a nice playground. I think its called Northside Park, on 125th Street. It was great to take DS there and let him blow off some steam one morning.
Replied back!

Yes Northside park is at 125th st. Pretty awesome. On Sundays they have Sundae's in the park. There is also movies on the beach, if DD can sit still for a bit and I think they are held around 70th street somewhere.
We enjoy breakfast from Jimmy's in Fenwick Island. My dad hates to waits, so mostly we order carry out food, from Fat Daddy's or Billy's. Grotto pizza just opened at 124th street. We'll also get carry out from Bull on the Beach which is at like 98th street or so. I've also heard good things about Dead Freddies which is around 60th street. They apparently have a very large playground for kids. Another similar spot is de Lazy Lizard which is near the lower numbered streets.
DH and I really didn't go out so much when down at the beach before DD, but when we did it was usually to JC's on 125th st. But Fagers is usually a good time without all the hype of Seacrets.
If I think of anything else I add more. I'm leaving tonight for the weekend!
ETA: Fish Tails for drinks and Tequila Mockingbird for dinner.
I like JR's, Tequila Mockingbird, and BJ's north for dinner.
Always hit up Thrashers and hotdogs at the Atlantic stand
Secrets Happy Hour!
Harborside in West Ocean City is our absolute favorite restaurant. Turn at the Royal Farms on 50 and go straight down that road. Hands down best Orange Crushes EVER. Dead Freddie's is very good as well.
We absolutely love de Lazy Lizard (1st and Bayside).
Oh so fun! I can't wait to take DD to the beach this summer when she gets a little older.
Some of my responses are the same as nezwee's. I apologize because some of these are right over the line in Fenwick but worth visiting.
We love Jimmy's...seriously the best breakfast food you're going to get. Catch 54 has great food and the atmosphere is nice (it's just over the line in Fenwick). Mio Fratello is a good Italian place in Fenwick. Harpoon Hanna's in Fenwick. Liquid Assets on 94th street has good sandwiches and tons of wine! Also Bull on the Beach (also 94th) has great roast beef sandwiches...my parents live on 94th and go there several times a week.
West Ocean City is a lot of fun and I love the houses (you can see them from the water). Check out Sunset Grille and Teaser's...you can watch the boats come in. http://www.ocsunsetgrille.com/
You can also just hang out at Macky's on 54th street. http://www.mackys.com/
Fish Tales on 21st street to watch the boats come in and just drink in a chair. There is a playground too http://ocfishtales.com/
We often go to brunch at Ocean Pines Yacht Club. I don't think you have to live in Ocean Pines to go but I could be wrong (we always go with my parents' neighbors). http://www.oceanpines.org/page.aspx?PageID=1
I know there are a few other places where you can just chill out and watch the boats... You can also play lots of mini golf! The best place IMO is in Fenwick...it's called Lost Treasure or something.
And don't forget Dumser's Dairyland.
i've debated a down and back trip before just for the popcorn. i need to find someone vacationing there this summer to get me some, i prefer mine with no nuts.
I was just there last Thursday-Sun.
Thursday night, we went to Seacrets for dinner, drinks, and then a band. Typically we would have gone Saturday during the day to sit in the bay, but it rained on Saturday.
Friday, we went to Burley Oak Brewery in Berlin and ended up staying for several hours. You can do a tour, we just sat and drank beer!
Friday night, we went to Ocean Pines Yacht Club for dinner/drinks. Wouldn't recommend this, but we were staying in Ocean Pines.
Saturday night we went to Hoopers for AUCE crabs. None of us had ever been there, but we enjoyed it. GREAT deal on beer -- $5 for a souvenir cup with $2.50 draft refills.
