A positive post...I'm feeling the need for a pick me up
I just watched Final Witness on ABC and spent the last hour bawling like a baby...so how about you make me feel better by telling me some positive shiz? Yeeeuh.
Tell me something wonderful about your husband/SO.
What is something you're thankful for this week?
What do you do that can immediately improve your mood?
Tell me why you're pleased with where you're at NOW.
What are you really, really good at? Like, better than anyone you know.

His attention to little events is amazing, he notices and that means a lot to me.

DH returns home after being gone for 2.5 months, I have missed him tremendously.

Eat something sweet, I try to reach for fruit in the process.
Tell me why you're pleased with where you're at NOW.
We are preparing for a new chapter, leaving OK for good in a few weeks and moving to the East Coast. I have 2 years left of my program and I may not work until I am done with it.
What are you really, really good at? Like, better than anyone you know.
I can analyze and dissect a book/literature like no one's business.
Tell me something wonderful about your husband/SO. He loves sports as much as I do. Our way of unwinding [especially while he's been gone] is to get into debates about what we heard in sports news, and they're always fun. Besides that, he's a really good dad. JJ [and new baby] always come first.
What is something you're thankful for this week? I'm thankful for my parents. They've been such a big help while H has been gone, and they're amazing grandparents to JJ.
What do you do that can immediately improve your mood? Tickle JJ. He has such an infectious laugh.
Tell me why you're pleased with where you're at NOW. I never thought I'd be a working mom of 1.5 kids at 26 [or even a wife]. I thought I'd be finishing up a couple of master's degrees, traveling the world etc. But I would not trade ANYTHING for the life I have now. I love my job, love being a mom, love my husband and love this life.
What are you really, really good at? Like, better than anyone you know. I can organize the hell out of a trip. I'm the designated trip planner in my family because I always look for deals, steals and fun things to do when we go places.
my bookshelf!
Bloggy
Tell me something wonderful about your husband/SO. DH has a great sense of humor and is just so stable, which is a good thing because it balances out my crazy.

What do you do that can immediately improve your mood? Read a book---it helps me get out of my own head for a while
Tell me why you're pleased with where you're at NOW. I'm in the middle of teaching my "vanity class" (that one class every professor always wanted to teach but never gets around to, and there are a fabulous bunch of students in it.
What are you really, really good at? Like, better than anyone you know. I think I'm really good at using every day examples (see: reality tv, local news, and sporting events) to make really complicated concepts much easier to understand.

What is something you're thankful for this week? Getting to hang out with some good friends playing Bingo, and I'm almost done painting doors. Whew!
What do you do that can immediately improve your mood? 2 things: 1. I listen to certain pieces of musical literature that are very band-director oriented, and 2. I listen to certain songs on my iPod, maybe some Dev if I feel like kicking booty or Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam if I need to be calmed.
Tell me why you're pleased with where you're at NOW. I'm very comfortable with the person I've grown up to be. I don't feel awkward in most social situations anymore, and I have a very good support group of friends. We are all very happy to have each other in our lives, and actually vocalize that fact (I've never done that with friends before...ever.) It's an amazing feeling to know that there are people that will be there for me when I need them, because up until the last year and a half or so, I didn't feel that way.
What are you really, really good at? Like, better than anyone you know. Sarcasm and dry humor. It's my thing.

Strong, happy marriage, healthy family, and new job. Feeling pretty good! What are you really, really good at? Like, better than anyone you know. Hmmm....my house doesn't always show it, but I'm very organized. I'm also a good cook/baker.
Tell me something wonderful about your husband/SO. He's really, really good with communication. I'm not sure I've ever met someone else that is so blasted good at that. He likes to hear stories about my job, and he's just interested and engaged in general. What is something you're thankful for this week? Hmm, this week. You know, I had a really delicious piece of cake this week. It cost 4 dollars, but it was all organic, and boy oh boy was it ever good.
What do you do that can immediately improve your mood? Talk to my sis. She just really is the cat's pajamas. Tell me why you're pleased with where you're at NOW. We're settling into our house, and that's pretty fun. Both of us are in jobs that we like, which is a new thing. We're doing well together. I'm pretty content with the status quo. What are you really, really good at? Like, better than anyone you know. I like to think that I'm a pretty rational kind of girl.

He puts up with me.
He loves me for my flaws and weaknesses. He is the best husband and father and he knows how to get me back to reality.
What is something you're thankful for this week? My DH and M. The past couple of weeks have been crap at work, but it seems to all go away when I am home with them.

Tell me why you're pleased with where you're at NOW. I love where we are in our life. We have everything we need right now and we are comfortable.
What are you really, really good at? Like, better than anyone you know. Baking. I love to bake anything sweet. I would do it a lot more, but I'm afraid of how much I would weigh. Really I only do it so I can lick the spoon at the end.
Tell me something wonderful about your husband/SO. He brings me breakfast in bed every morning. Most of the time it's cereal, but I appreciate him so much and love that he's so sweet.
What is something you're thankful for this week? One of our friends gave us some fresh produce from his garden. Yum!
What do you do that can immediately improve your mood? Look at a picture of mountains
Tell me why you're pleased with where you're at NOW. I have a job, roof over my head, family who love me, and more friends than I probably deserve. What are you really, really good at? Like, better than anyone you know. Making a mountain out of a mole hill
Tell me something wonderful about your husband/SO. He is an amazing partner. Even though I stay at home, he still helps with cleaning on the weekends and is definitely an equal partner when it comes to child care duties when we are together. Many of my friends complain that they don't get to enjoy a lot of social situations as much as their husbands because they don't really get much help from them with child care, but I think H actually typically takes on more of the child care responsibilities than I do when we are in social settings.
What is something you're thankful for this week? Having a wonderful circle of friends and family.
What do you do that can immediately improve your mood? Listen to music. There is a song by The Avett Brothers called At the Beach that always puts me in a good mood. Steve Miller Band also puts me in a good mood.

What do you do that can immediately improve your mood? Go for a drive by myself. Or take a warm bath. Neither of which happen much currently, lol.
Tell me why you're pleased with where you're at NOW. We had a rough first three years of marriage, with my health problems, being single income, grad school, etc. We're very thankful for a healthy baby, healthy me, and steady job for H.
What are you really, really good at? Like, better than anyone you know. Research. Reading people.
Bahaha. Me too.
