Probably because the people hiring for the job are never in as much of a hurry as the people seeking the job.
I am guessing it is probably this. They are adding a shift, so no big hurry. I hope it is sooner too. He could use some health insurance that covers the meds he likes to take, instead of the ones that kill his appetite and give him mood swings.
