Re: FSBO.com vs forsalebyowner.com

  • I used forsalebyowner.com to sell my condo about 4 years ago and was very satisfied with the purchase agreement and title services they offer.  I did not need to use their MLS service because my condo sold pretty quickly.  But, FSBO was around at that time and I just thought the forsalebyowner.com was more professional as far as the marketing materials, etc.  I don't know why the MLS price would be so different, so I would just see what extra items, if any, you get with the $699 price vs. $299.  But just off the general packages without the MLS, forsalebyowner.com was great.
  • As a real estate agent, I suggest using which ever one will get on you on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). This system will give everyone who's searching in your area an easier access to view it, as well as agents who have clients looking for features that your home may offer. It's all about exposure!

Be sure to market your home on Craigslist as well - especially for days leading up to an open house.

     Good luck!

  • Have you looked at Owners.com?  They seem to have the best for sale by owner and MLS listing services and prices.

I ended up remembering I had a contact that is a broker and she was able to get it up on MLS for me without using an internet site. Thanks for the suggestion though!
