Thanks ladies! I am sure this will get easier as time goes on. I am going down the last weekend in Aug since its his birthday and I get an extra day off for Labor Day.

I agree with this... I know it is going to be super hard, but you will get through it. They always say absence makes the heart grow fonder. Let the upcoming holiday motivate you. Webcam and all that other internet jazz.
Aren't you starting a job at a new school soon? (I hope I'm not remembering wrong) If it was you, use this time to prepare your classroom.

I am sure you both will. The reason I have a classroom is because my kids are all on a 6 day special rotation. So Monday: gym Tuesday: Art, Wed: See Mrs. S, Thursday Music. ect...
So I am a school counselor for the whole school and I am teaching each grade social skills, coping skills, ect in the mornings. In the afternoon, I will be doing the normal school counselor thing. Yes, it is abnormal, but in my opinion, its a really innovative way of doing things, so I can maximize exposure with my students.
What an awesome idea! I have never heard of a school doing that but it's great! You'll have to let us know how the kids like it.
