Promising Interview...
After finding out within the last few days that a school I applied and interviewed at back in May didn't even call me in for an interview (the old P interviewed me, but retired, and the new P started), the position I spent the last two days applying to was filled, and I didn't recieve any new calls for interviews.... I decided to venture over to Craig's List. I found several postings for a charter school in the area I never heard of.
I looked them up on their website and they have almost the same format and philsophy as the charter school I taught at in Philly. I wrote my first cover letter EVER with help from the wonderful teachers on proteacher and sent my cover letter, resume, letters of reference, and FL teaching certification to them via email.
Yesterday, I called to follow up on my email and was offered an interview. When I got home from work I found they sent me an email before I called them asking me to come in at "1:30 pm TODAY" (meaning Friday).
I think it is a REALLY GREAT sign they wanted to call me in for an interview the same day they recieved my information!!!!
