Best Travel Shoes?

I am taking a delayed honeymoon to Europe in the fall and am trying to find a great pair of shoes for walking around. Does anyone have any recommendations for a stylish pair of walking shoes that would look good with any outfit? I would also love to find a non-tennis shoe style for my husband as well. I'd rather not have ugly shoes in all of our honeymoon shots. Thanks!

One pair is more for warmer weather and the other for cooler weather. I like Merrell. The streets and walking areas of Europe are old and often uneven, brick/cobblestone, so these provide good support.

  • any of the cole haan with the nike soles are great and super stylish.

  • I bought the Cole Haan Maria Sharapova flats and wore them the entire time in Europe, and my feet never hurt once.  They do run a bit small so you may have to go a size or half-size up, but I loved them.
  • I love my LL Bean Comfort Mocs Slides.  I walked in them around NYC for days and my feet never hurt.  They are a little more budget-friendly than Merrell, too.

Conceived after 1.5 yrs. Thank you, modern medicine! BabyFruit Ticker
  • I ditto the Cole Haan Air recs.  I'd also suggest Clarks, particular Wave.  They're pretty much a straight-up walking shoe (i.e. sneaker-like), but so light and so comfortable that they're really awesome.  I just beat the cr@p out of mine-- wearing 'em in cities and even in salt water over the last 3wks and they still look and feel great!
