Michigan rec's needed
in Travel
We are going to be taking a family vacation next year and I would really love to go to Michigan, as I've heard great things about it. The trip will be DH and I, DD (will be 2.5) and baby #2 who will be 6-7 months old. Also will be my parents, younger brother, older brother and his SO. It will most likely be for a whole week. I'm having trouble finding places to stay to accommodate all of us without it costing $5000. We are open to a large house or even condos. I've been looking in the St Joseph, Holland, etc areas but I'm open to other areas. I want a nearby beach as well.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Saugatuck is really nice and I think a little more under the radar. Traverse City and Grand Haven are both awesome too.

Have a fun trip when you do come, I've lived in MI all my life & it really is a wonderful state! I do miss the west coast of MI.
I live in Southwest Michigan about a half an hour from St. Joseph and it is a really nice area! I would also suggest Holland, Traverse City, or even further north the Petoskey area. Around Traverse City and Petoskey there are a bunch of wineries and a lot of fun things to do.
