FFFC/Vents/AW

Happy Friday 13th! It's only 9:50 and I'm already ready to go home so let's have some entertainment today!

Re: FFFC/Vents/AW

  • Longest day ever!

FFFC- My provider is out today because she had her tonsils taken out and she is still having a lot of post-op pain. The FFFC part? I'm kinda glad. She's a bear when she's unhappy/sick, and I don't want to deal with her today.

And another one. We are once again facing the possibility that DH may be medically released from the AF. I seriously did a happy dance. Get me the eff out of here and back home!

The length of a minute depends on which side of the bathroom door you are standing on! Photobucket
What do you mean that's the wrong side? Tastes great to me!

  • We were outed by a family member to the florist in our hometown.  Now I feel like I need to make it Facebook official so that everyone doesn't find out secondhand.  we've told the really important people and family, but there's always so and so from high school or whatever wondering why we didn't tell them.  I'm still sort of weirded out by making an official announcement, though.  Much easier to hide it in my little nest corner of the Internet.

I haven't cooked in a month.  I feel bad for H.  The most I've done is marinate chicken for him to cook and throw a stouffers lasagna in the oven.  I need to pick up the slack.

H is ditching work to come home and take us to lunch and a movie.  I love that man.

  • VENT: There is this new lady on my ThirtyOne Gifts team. Our team gets together quite often. Well last month this lady is talking about how broke her and her husband are and how she just doesn't know how they are going to pay their bills...blah....blah.....blah BS. Everytime she starts in I want to tell her that her and her daughter can get off their lazy azzes and get a job and quit depending on her hubsand to foot all the bills. Her daughter is 21, drives a newer gas gusling crew cab truck, dips and goes out all the time, she drives a newer reg cab truck but plans to buy a new SUV soon and the husband who works his azz off  and foots all the bills drives an old VW bug. I so want to tell her to get a job, tell her daughter to get a job and start helping the poor guy pay bills.

I know I should judge but I really want to tell her to wake the eff up!

  • I've been in acquisition training all week for work and I'm just done. I have zero attention span left for this stuff.

Also, I just finished completely reaming the instructor(s) on the eval and I know I wasn't the only one.  I doubt it means anything, but it makes me feel better.

  • AW: We closed this morning! Movers come tomorrow :) I'm sooo excited.

  • I really don't like it when the cashier hands me my change and puts the receipt, bills and coins all in my hand at the same time. That's too much to handle at once! Put the receipt in my bag, please.

It drives me crazy when the change isn't counted back to me properly. I am beginning to think no one knows how to do this.

  • Freshman enrollment is OVER. I love working with new students, but after 8 weeks, I'm done. Sweet.

Next weekend is Great Wolf Lodge weekend. One, my dad is going since he comes home again next week, so he will be able to take JJ around for a little bit while I sit in a lounge chair or float around the lazy river. Two, my sister's boyfriend is joining us, so this will be our first family outing with her boyfriend. I think he's scared sh!tless, but I commend him for coming. I like him, but I think jury's still out on whether my parents like him. This could get interesting.

  • I'm over trying to find a rental home. A home that would sell for $90,000 is renting within 24 hours for $1300/month. I'm just not willing to pay that for a rental house I REALLY don't want to live in. I think we give up and will just get a crappy apartment for a year. It'd be nice to just be able to let the dog out into the yard, but for a savings of $500-$600/month for the same sized place (albeit with a shared wall,) we'll just walk him.

This is why I want to be a landlord!! I am crossing my fingers and toes SO HARD that in a year we will be recovered from these renos and able to invest in a few properties. Or just one property, I will take just one.

UM! If that's true I totally should have rented my old house instead of selling it.

I'm guessing it's not true here, but it's definitely true where we're moving.

I think it depends on where the rental property is but it Norman or in any college town, you can make bank on *nice* rental properties.
