What would you bring?
I'm traveling to San Diego next week, arriving friday at 10am and leaving Saturday 11pm. Yeah it's going to suck in some capacities.
Since I am there for such a short period of time I was thinking I would just bring my Longchamps tote (for size reference only not pretense) and no other luggage. That way when I land I don't have to go to the hotel first and then come back.
So what would you wear and what would you bring? I'm seriously considering just buying something out there and wearing it back, is that silly? I'm thinking like an H&M dress, or something equally cheap.

one/two bras, three pairs of underwear, two sundresses, one pair of shoes one tshirt, if i was concerned i'd bring cold wear leggings and a sweater on the plane ride. maybe a brush but my hair doesn't require one, but i would just use the soap at the hotel for that short of a stay.
i'd probably bring a book on my kindle and an iphone with chargers. but that is about it. and i know i could pack all that easily in a small bag.
I think it depends on what you're doing. If you're trip doesn't require you to have 2 outfits a day (dressing up for work and then casual in the evenings), then I think you'd be fine with one change of clothes and minimal toiletries using your tote.

Assuming you dont need to dress to impress for work or anything...
I would pack two pairs of undies, a tank and pair of cropped yoga pants for comfort if needed to change saturday before I leave, wear the bra and flip flops I go with, pack an easy dress to throw on for Saturday daytime. If I even washed my hair, I would use hotel provided soaps. I wear minimal make up in the summer so probably a tinted moisturizer and some mascara in my purse and thats about it

Do you have some light sundresses? Wear one on the plane, bring another with a change of underwear. Wear a light scarf or cardigan on the plane. For toiletries, I'd use hotel stuff and bring minimal makeup.
I think you can fit everything in a longchamp bag. I've used that before for 1-night stays.
I would rock a maxi dress and a cardigan or sweater of some sort on the plane and plan on sleeping in that. Bring fresh undies and a separate dress for the next day with some toiletries/makeup. You can definitely get it all in a tote.
