I had my 35 week OB appt this morning, T had the day off so he came with. Well I go in, tell the doctor about my lovely 3+ days of diarrhea, coupled with not sleeping last night at all because everything was hurting. So she does her thing, listens to baby with the Doppler and my kid has a heartbeat fluctuating all over the place and going as high as 180. She's concerned, thinks maybe I'm dehydrated even though I slug down about 120 oz of water a day and have been making sure to drink more with the potty issue, and orders a chem panel to find out if I'm low on potassium and an NST. So I spent my morning getting blood drawn and hooked up to the monitors for 40 minutes where baby was perfectly fine, heart rate in the normal range the whole time, 1 contraction, and no IV fluids necessary. I'm really hoping this intestinal problem goes away soon or that Imodium does the trick!

Re: How I Spent My Morning
That had to have been scary. I'm glad everything is ok! Good job drinking that much water! I think I would be in the bathroom all day if I drank that much and I'm not even pregnant.
I'm sorry you've had a rough morning. I'm glad to hear that baby is ok. Did the Dr. have any advice on the stomach issues? I guess there's not much you can do huh? Maybe drink some gaterade (sp?) to help replish electrolites, that might help if you are feeling tired from being sick.
Hopefully it passes soon (no pun intended
