Beer Bottle Caps

So my husband came up with the idea that he wants to try every beer ever made. Now he has a collection of bottle caps. Obviously I'm not going to throw them out but I need to do something with them so they're not just sitting in a sandwich bag in a drawer. I bought cork board some time and still have about 4 thin pieces left. I was going to glue them on their but isn't that going to be kind of boring? If I'm going to get crafty with this I want it to look nice but I'm fresh outta ideas. Anyone want to give some input?

Re: Beer Bottle Caps

  • You could make a wall art piece, put them into the shape of a beer bottle on a board.

You could get a large picture and cover a frame with them, possibly for a man room.

You could cover a smaller/medium table top with them and have a table, you could cover it with a glass piece to protect the bottle caps from dirt and dust.

You can make into fridge magnets, or push pins.

I'm sure there are more ideas but I thought those are cute and I've thought about doing them.

  • I love the idea of putting them into the shape of a beer bottle! I would have never thought of that. I love all those ideas actually, by the rate he's going I could probably do at least two of those projects.

  • I also really the idea of putting them on top of a table (with glass over so it's a flat/smooth surface), that way you can make it a huge table (think coffee table for the man cave, or a bar if you have one). and if he's still collecting, you could add the additional caps to the legs of the table (or bar stools)
  • This is a little out there but my husband and I are saving some to actually make into a floor. We saw this house made out of crazy recycled things and we just can't get the idea out of our heads.

But I agree with making them into an art. Kind of like a mosaic but with bottle caps

  • So I had to google bottle cap floors. They look so awesome! If we weren't renting I would do that for his man cave that is just the coolest thing I've ever seen.

  • You can stick them together on an empty beer bottle and you can use that bottle as a show piece which you can put near your home bar.
  • I just ran across this pin on pinterest and immediately thought of your thread:
