I first want to say I hit the jackpot when it comes to domestics with a husband. He is a chef so from that he pretty clean because he taught to keep things clean. He cleans and fixes and most of my gfs are pretty jealous because even in his chaos life he is able to help me with keeping the fixer upper house in one piece....with that being said I have a bit of a vent.
Upon his request, I have a list of things for him to do that I physically can?t do or have no clue to do when he gets a free day and feels like doing stuff...well he always seems to do stuff around the house that didn?t need to be done or things he could of asked me to do. Yesterday I come home and he scrubbing the floors that I just did on Saturday...he told me it wasn?t as clean as he likes.fine but he spent all day doing this and ignoring the things I been asking him forever to do. Why ask me to make a list when you complete ignore it and now these things can never get done because I can?t do them...humph! I don?t want to sound ungrateful for the things he does but at the same time it?s so annoying because things get left undone for so long.
Re: House Chores vs. Hubby
I can totally relate... I ask H to do stuff that I can't do, think he's off doing it, and find him doing the most inane stuff instead that totally doesn't need to be done.
I HATE feeling like I have to stand over him/ nag him, but sometimes he just pushes me to it. So happy that he's willing to pitch in, I just wish he'd follow directions a little bit better.
Dang husbands ;p
When we first lived together I was a full-time student and he worked full-time, needless to say I was the one that had more free time to do basically all of the household chores. I am very OCD when it comes to cleaning so it worked for us.
But now we both work full-time and I don't have time to do everything I used so, therefore DH has picked up the slack... only thing is he doesn't clean as thoroughly as I do... it's hard because I am OCD about cleaning... I try to just think I am lucky he tried because I am too tired to fix his cleaning errors, it's cleaner than it was before
