anyone do cross stitch?

I was wondering if anyone out there does counted cross-stitch and has a cute pattern for a baby?  I want to do one for my niece that was born last week.  I know I'm starting late but she is in NY so I have some flexibly, lol.  I want something that I can put at least her name on if not also her DOB, maybe weight and height.

Thanks

I used to when I was younger but I haven't done it in years. However, I just did a Google search and found this and think it is adorable!!! You can probably find the pattern here: http://www.abzerd.com/baby-birth-record-cross-stitch-designs-free-download.htm

  • My mom cross stitches daily, so I've done it on and off throughout my lifetime! She's known for her cute baby bibs, so now it's an expectation from her :) she buys these cute bibs from hobby lobby and refuses old patterns. I know she uses a computer program to custom make certain designs (like baby jayhawks!!) and prints it to use as a pattern. I can ask her to do something for you if you have something specific in mind! I'm sure I'd be able to save it and email it?? I'll ask her more questions if you're interested!

Is there any other changes you think you would make?

I also found this one in my box I'm not sure I love it

i recently learned how!  i made my sister a really pretty baby blanket for my nephew and i'm working on a lace pattern shawl for myself  :)

my mom taught me to cross stitch a LONG time ago, but i never really picked it up.  she still does it a lot and is really good at it, she made a baby blanket for both me and my sister's babies (my future babies, i should say).  i think she gets a package for the baby blankets from a Michael's/JoAnn's type place, it comes with the blanket with cross marks already on it, the right colored thread, and the pattern to follow all together.

  • ok, i found the cross stitch you should do:
