Anyone else feel this way...hah!

Re: Anyone else feel this way...hah!
I felt like the worst modern woman the other day because I was thinking how I would go back to how things were when my Grandparents got hitched. Neither went to college and they lived comfortably on just my Grandpa's salary. Grandma only worked before kids and once they were grown up and it was "extra" income.
I wish it were still that way, where you could live on one persons income. The other could work or not. H & I have to be reasonably frugal to get by on two salaries with no kids!
I was just asking H yesterday if we will ever have two incomes in our entire marriage, because he's working, I'm getting a masters. Once I get a job, he wants to go back to school for possibly a PhD, after that, I want to go back to school for a PhD. I don't think we will EVER live the life a DINK
And not only two incomes, but if we will ever just get to KEEP ONE INCOME, because right now we have one income and a negative income (school costs about as much as a small income!) - will this be forever? Well, as that cartoon suggests, hell no. Cuz if I have the opportunity to become a housewife, I might take it because at least I won't be spending the only salary we would be getting.
