Couples costume ideas

This is SUPER early for Halloween, but we are taking a cruise for Halloween and want to start making our costumes for the party on-board.  I'm looking for creative ideas.  I've googled and can't find much that's original.

My first thought was to be a pirate, but I'm sure there are already going to be a ton.

Any creative juices you can share is appreciated!

Re: Couples costume ideas

  • It's never to early to start thinking about Halloween costumes. You could do something a little quirky buy dressing up as Mario and Princess Peach or Mario and Luigi. Or you could be a little more creative and be Medusa and the guy she turned to stone. And that is a fairly easy costume to make. Or be a one of those couples that you see on the cover of a romance book. I don't think to many people would have these costumes.

  • Kinda sick but how about the couple in Titantic?  Or one of you could be a buoy and the other a lifesaving ring.

I like the tourist idea!  I think that'd be funny lol!  I wonder if it's overdone? Hard to say?  We were also thinking about being a scientist/lab mouse.  My DH is a pharmaceutical researcher, so figured that'd be easy.  We could grab some big "geek" glasses.  I could dress as the mouse and put an IV on my arm, etc?

  • I'm a nerd and love puns, so in college my roommate and I dressed up together as an angel and a cow = "holy cow".  Groans understandable, but we did place in a costume contest.
