Hilton Head Recs.

Hi There!

My DH and I are taking a week long trip down to Hiton Head the last week in September. I know there are a lot of good restaurants down there and I know Savannah is just a quick car ride away as well.

Also looking for fun stuff to do. DH and I are looking into the Captain Hook fishing boat as well.

Any and all recommendations would be highly appreciated!! :)

Re: Hilton Head Recs.

  • Hi!

I absolutely love Hilton Head!  There are lots of great restaurants to eat at.  In the Shelter Cove area, there is KingFisher Seafood.  We eat there a lot when we go down because we normally stay on Disney's property there, but it's great!  A little pricey, but it's seafood at the beach.  I'm not sure if you are into sports bars or anything, but Casey's Sports Bar & Grille was good.  We went to watch a football game the last time we were down there and they have so many TVs and good food.

There are boat tours to Savannah, so you wouldn't even have to worry about driving.  I think they cost about $20 a person, but they include discounts on carriage rides or something.  I have never been on one, but have looked into them.

There is a lighthouse in Harbourtown that's nice to check out and there are several shops down there.  Also, there is a mall near Shelter Cove and there are 2 Tanger Outlet centers if I remember correctly.

     Hope this helps!

Dinner at Sante Fe Cafe is fantastic.  I love the rooftop cantina!

  • i was a big fan of Red Fish for an upscale meal.  Salty Dog for drinks on the water is fun, their food is mediocre but it's sort of a "must do" in HH.

We also enjoy the Skull Creek Boathouse.  nice sunsets.
