DH has had bad year. Laid off in January in his restaurant GM position for not hitting goal food cost numbers. He was at this company for 1 year 5 months He had a new GM spot by Feb and was again just let go.
He does not want to list last job that he had for 5 months and just leave blank. I think he needs to list it b/c a spotty resume looks worse. He is no longer interviewing for top GM spots and is looking into positions under GM.
As it stands

What do you think?
Re: resume issue
I think in this economy that it is fine. No one is really going to question it. I also in general am against 'hiding' things in a resume or attempting to make things look other than they are. It could come out eventually - what if they call a job and they say "he worked here" and it's not on his resume. Also you never know how people are connected.
I vote leave it as is.
Why was he let go from the restaurant he only had for 5 month?
I would say leave it as is. He can always explain in the interview process why. I agree, you never know how people are connected, and it could eventually come out.
