Interesting... there's a red headline on Drudge that says "Romney narrows VP choices; surprise name emerges as frontrunner"
I am not sure about what would constitute a "surprise." I am pretty knowledgeable about the possibilities. ex: Sarah Palin was not a surprise to me. I had heard about her since April of 2008.
Here are my guesses, five names that might legitimately qualify as a surprise:
Kelly Ayotte, Brian Sandoval, Bob McDonnell, Cathy McMorris Rodgers, Susana Martinez
Darn, the headline is Condi. I doubt that will ever happen. She hasn't run for electoral office before, is tied to Bush, pro-choice... What a let down. I thought Drudge had a real scoop.
Re: Surprise VP pick for Romney? eta: Condi Rice
Shameful, irrelevant, possibly sexist confession of a mostly Democrat:
I have a huge crush on Condoleeza Rice. That gap between her front teeth makes me weak in the knees.
No way I'd vote for her, though. I voted against her former boss 4 times.
I dislike Romney as my Republican nominee. Id like him better if Condi was on the ticket. I think wed actually stand a better chance wining if she was on the ticket
