June 2012 Weddings
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Has anyone figured out how to post pictures on here yet?
Care to share?

nope, its not the same. you hit the tree, but some weird/different box pops up. I am trying to figure it out still. The icon is the same but in the box that pops up, there is no browse option to search for picture on your computer

Uh, why they gotta make it so difficult?!
Also, is it the same with the avatar pics, or are those just obstinate and don't like to show up?
Hello there!
Jumping in here to try to offer some tips. So, unfortunately, unlike The Knot message boards, you're not able to simply embed photos by clicking the little picture icon (kind of annoying, I know).
Instead you will have to upload your photo to a picture hosting site such as TinyPic.com, Photobucket.com, Shutterfly.com or even simply to your Nest profile.
Then you'll need to get the direct link/image URL. If you upload to your Nest profile or Photobucket/Shutterfly you should be able to just right click the picture and click "Copy image URL." You will then paste this link into the "Image URL" box when you click the tree picture icon on your post. You can also resize the image there by adjusting the dimensions. I would say 320 is a good max width for images to avoid scrolling.
If your picture is already online (like on Facebook), you can skip uploading it to a picture hosting site and go ahead to grabbing the image URL with a right click.
If you use TinyPic it will give you an IMG code for message boards (also, side note: I recommend selecting the "Website/Email 320x240" size). Then you can simply copy and paste this code in the text box of your message and it should work.
I know this is a little confusing. It is something we are hoping to simplify in the near future. Let me know if my instructions are unclear or if you have any other questions!
