Re: How was your weekend?

  • Highs? I'm glad we got all that rain! Our yard really needed it. I picked blueberries and peaches, went to an alpaca farm, took Gracie to one of our favorite beaches and had a nice date night with DH. Also my best friend got engaged! I really like her FI and I'm so happy for her. Lows? Picking fruit in the pouring rain and having to walk around in soaking wet clothes/shoes for the rest of the day. Eat/make anything good? Went to Stoney River last night, Carterque on Saturday and CPK on Saturday night. Watch anything good? Didn't really watch anything. Read anything good? Really liking Shanghai Girls. FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? I'm really dreading taking Gracie to the vet today. What are you looking forward to this week? Nothing really this week. Probably my mom's birthday dinner this weekend.
    • Highs? Sleeping in my own bed, DS sleeping in his own room (and waking up at a normal time!)
    • Lows? Home from vacation, and DH left for a week-long trip yesterday
    • Eat/make anything good? Nope
    • Watch anything good? Nope
    • Read anything good? Nope
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? On our vacation, DS somehow lost a finger nail and a toe nail, got a skinned knee, a bloody lip once and a fat lip another time. Being a toddler is dangerous I guess! DS also learned 3 new words: hi, bird, and outside.
    • DH being gone this week makes me very anxious. I keep thinking I'm going to forget to do something or what if DS gets sick/hurt or what if the house burns down, etc. I know I can handle it, but I'm just a little stressed.
    • I have a nice tan from our vacation and I will be sad when it fades. I never have a tan anymore and I like having one. I should find my sunless tanner and try that again.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? My parents are coming over for dinner on Tuesday. Playgroup on Saturday. DH home on Sunday!!

    • Highs? Got my hair done, which always makes me feel refreshed, and spent time with family at my nephew's birthday party on Saturday. Had a day alone with E while M was staying with my Mom and managed to get the nursery furniture, have a lunch at Ledo's, and see the new Batman on Sunday before going out to dinner that night.
    • Lows? A tiff with E at dinner last night. We hashed it out this morning, but I was ticked off and hurt all last night.
    • Eat/make anything good? White pizza at Ledo's, dinner at Sakura.
    • Watch anything good? More Mad Men! I'm on season 3 now.
    • Read anything good? Nope
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? See the above about the stupid tiff with E. And I'll admit that even though we talked about it this morning, I'm still feeling bitter about it.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? One of my best friends is having her baby this morning! In fact, she's probably already had her by now. I can't wait to snuggle her.

    • Highs? I treated myself to a manicure & pedicure yesterday.  I had decided I wasn't going to spend money on them anymore except very rarely, but then I had a crappy night of sleep and my back hurt and we didn't have anything exciting going on.  I went and while it took forever, I loved using the massage chair for almost an hour and I felt much better.
    • Lows? Crappy sleep Saturday/Sunday - thanks to E waking up crying and insisting I sleep with her but then refusing to sleep!
    • Eat/make anything good? no
    • Watch anything good? nah
    • Read anything good? nah
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? We went to the Air and Space annex out by Dulles on Saturday - it was fun, but we thought we'd be able to get in at least a few of the aircraft or at least get up close and you couldn't.  I probably should have researched it more. ..  but I was disappointed.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Working from home today so I can go to pool day w/ DD and her school!  And playdate on Saturday and  MNO afterward!!

    • Highs? A little bit of Shopping on Saturday, B-day party yesterday (DD had fun!), seeing my brother yesterday for his b-day.
    • Lows? Not enough sleep. Sad
    • Eat/make anything good? nope
    • Watch anything good? The girl with the Tattoo Dragon (which was pretty good).
    • Read anything good? I didn't get a chance to pick up my book this week.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? Miss Caroline has grown so much in the past two months, my big girl is almost up to 15lbs. She's been grabbing at her feet, I'm waiting for them to find her mouth.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Pool Party at our friends place on Saturday and hopefully lots of yummy food.

  • Highs - Shopping with DD. I ended up getting rest of the materials to make her chair and she didn't freak out while I was in Joann's deciding on fabric. Also got a bit of the basement cleaned up.

Lows - Because of the rain and when DD naps, I missed out on going to Artscape. Also, we think the drain pipe in our tub is leaking. We are hoping it's not a $10,000 repair...

Eat/make anything good - At this cookout on Saturday, I had a salted caramel cupcake and it was awesome. DH made some pretty good fish last night.

Watch anything good: FINALLY, saw an episode of Misfits

Read anything good - Finished "Heart-shaped box" by Joe Hill

Looking forward to the pool party Smile, just need to figure out what to bring.

    • Highs? Extremely lazy Sunday with DH.  We didn't really get moving until noon.

    • Lows? That it's over.

    • Eat/make anything good? Chipotle

    • Watch anything good? We watched the first season and half of the second season of Breaking Bad.  We are really enjoying it.

    • Read anything good? No.  My parents brought me a book of ghost stories from Phoenix so I'm excited to read that.

    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? FFC: I want to see the Katy Perry movie. Vent: I know I only have myself to blame but I've been a slacker in the weight loss department.

    • What are you looking forward to this week? The weekend.

    • Highs? It was a really good weekend, so almost everything was a high. I loved the weather/rain. My husband was away, which wasn't a high persay, but I got to spend time alone (which I enjoy) and then when he came back Sunday, we had a really good day together.
    • Lows? My throat and sinuses kind of hurt all weekend.
    • Eat/make anything good? My neighbor taught me how to make Pancit Bihon, a Filipino noodle dish.
    • Watch anything good? Working my way through the entire series of Entourage
    • Read anything good? I read "The Uglies" in less than 24 hours
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? I'm tired of hearing people's opinions about Penn State -- both the crazy fans who want to deny that anything wrong happened and those who think that Penn State should basically be abolished as a university as a whole. As an alumni, I know I have a biased outlook (though I think it's fairly rational), but all of it is frustrating and I'm ready to just move on.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Not much going on this week!
    • Highs? Not much
    • Lows? My brother and I removed tree parts from our aunts house on Saturday in the rain and did it again at our Grandfather's house on Sunday.
    • Eat/make anything good? nope
    • Watch anything good? Not really. I crashed both nights!
    • Read anything good? Only my textbook
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? I was happy to help my family out this weekend, but it's sad that companies say they are going to do something and then don't.

    • What are you looking forward to this week? Floppy hat night at the O's on Friday and I leave for Orlando on Sunday for 7 days!! Can't wait!
