4. Do you put it in the same spot every year? Yes, we have an incredibly small house with not too many options.
5. What kind of lights do you use? Multi-colored...I used to go all white, but I like how the multi colored lights accent the ornaments. I love all the color!
6. Consistent theme or eclectic mix of ornaments? It's a menagerie of ornaments.
7. What is your favorite ornament? My Hallmark "Lady & The Tramp" ornaments. It was (and still is) my favorite cartoon movie as a child.
8. Tree skirt - yay or nay? Nay, until we get a bigger tree.
9. Presents under the tree as you wrap them or all at once on Christmas Eve? Now that Jack knows that the whole Santa thing was a big old farce, we wrap as we buy them and stick them under the tree. It's so much easier!
10. If you have pets do they ignore it or play with it? Well, that is the big question this year...in the past the kitties would knock a ball off here and there. That novelty wore off after a few years. Dizzle never bothered with it, not once (he's so good!). Now that we have Joker here, I have a feeling that the tree will spend alot of time on it's side. Don't know...just a hunch I have.

4. Do you put it in the same spot every year? well this is our first Christmas in our house, but I think it will always be in this spot, unless we get a flat screen TV and hang it on the wal, and then it will be in the other corner

10. If you have pets do they ignore it or play with it? Chloe ignores it. This is Mr. Sweaters first tree and I fear he will think of it as one big cat toy holder. I always fear the kitty pee, Chloe did this one year, thank goodness we had put a garbage bag down under the tree.
I am so excited for our tree this year because we didn't do one last year because FIL had just passed away and we were not going to be around for the holidays. This year I am going to make a database of our ornaments as I decorate so I know which Hallmark ornaments we have and what years we need (I am a total dork). I should have done a tree topper question! D'oh. We use paper and spun glass angel that I bought on ebay since my mom won't give hers up.

1. Fresh cut tree, live tree, artficial tree, or no tree? Artificial. It was my grandparents' tree and I just kind of ended up with it. Since we have it already, we've always just used it.
2. How tall of a tree do you get? To the ceiling or not? Not nearly to the ceiling! It's a five foot tree and we have ten foot ceilings.
3. When do you put it up? Whenever I get time. We have a ton of stuff to do around the house before I can decorate, so this year I'm afraid it's not going up until right before Christmas

8. Tree skirt - yay or nay? Nay. I meant to get one last year during after Christmas sales but I forgot. I think I have a blanket of some sort that I'm going to wrap around the bottom to give the look of a skirt.

3. When do you put it up? - DH and I have battled over this many times. He despises putting the tree up early, while I'm all for putting it up the weekend after TG. Our compromise that we finally settled on was the first weekend of Advent.
4. Do you put it in the same spot every year? - Nope, but then we haven't lived in the same place for two Christmases yet!

7. What is your favorite ornament? - Hmm... I have a couple of the little S'mores guys that I love (one's a teacher, another's a baseball player) and my stepmom/dad gave us a full set of the traditional German ornaments that I love for the sentimentality of the gift.

We were nervous what Maisie would do with it, but she seems mostly scared of it and avoids it. DH says it's because she's thinking of all the ways she could get into trouble with it and she's scared of what her punishment would be.... every single day of forever.

3. When do you put it up? Normally we put ours up on Black Friday but we did our T-giving that day and we had a wedding on Saturday so we are hoping to get it done this coming weekend.

5. What kind of lights do you use? Clear lights only and they are pre-strung on our artifical...we will use clear lights on a cut tree as well...I am not a multi-color light fan.

7. What is your favorite ornament? I am not sure...I have a shrinky-dink santa that was made for my first christmas and I do love it and it goes on the tree every year...not really a favorite but most beloved.

9. Presents under the tree as you wrap them or all at once on Christmas Eve? as we go...although it is hard to keep the kitties away from the ribbon and bows...so I usually wrap everything but put the ribbon on everything Christmas Eve.
10. If you have pets do they ignore it or play with it? They don't just play with the tree...they destroy it. Our cat Tiga loves to lay in the branches and Tinsley will lay on the skirt. They both love to pull ornaments off the tree as well as my ribbon that I have running through it. It drives my anal-retentive DH nuts...by Christmas day he is so over the tree.
