Weekend Update

So this has been such a crazy weekend. The services for MIL were Saturday morning and then yesterday we started cleaning out her house while the 4 of us had a few days off work. BIL's job only gives him Sundays off work and MIL was a hoarder so we are not going to be only cleaning 1 day a week for months.

H and I are handling things very well surprisingly. We had already made peace with everything before she passed so we took things very well. And H says he was honored that she passed in our house. That it let him know she was very comfortable here. I just say I have to do something with that room ASAP!

Hand I are looking forward to things slowing down a bit. I have NO clue when I will be going back to work even though I have been off for over 2 months now. Hopefully H will go back soon but it depends on how much work they have or if they get any.

Anyways I hope everyone is doing good and I will try to get back to regular posting soon.

Re: Weekend Update

  • Glad you and your husband are holding up. We're dealing with a family sickness this week and it really does take over your mind. Hope you continue to find peace and a new routine. Good luck with the house.
  • Glad to hear you and your H are doing well. Just take it one day at a time.

  • Good to hear that you guys have made your peace and are now moving forward.  I think you guys did the right think by biting the bullet and having your MIL move in with you - even though it was tough in the short term, in the long term I think it will help your H find his peace knowing that he did everything in his power to make his mom's last couple months as comfortable as possible for her, instead of her being stuck in some hospital facility.
