I feel like a crappy wife. I haven't been cooking, H has been working hellacious hours, and I feel like he's just exhausted mentally and physically. Thursday is his birthday and I would really like to do something special for him. I think he's taking off Friday-Sunday and we will be heading somewhere out of town. I feel so guilty that he's been busting his ass lately and I want to make him feel like he's appreciated. If anyone has any ideas of what I could do, please suggest it. Whether its an amazing dessert recipe or something crafty from Pinterest...lay it on me if you don't mind. TIA!! I'll take birthday gift ideas, too...cause I got nothin'.
Re: Help me step it up.
He would definitely like this
Do you have a babysitter for said weekend trip?
Whats his favorite dessert? Maybe we can come up with a fun variation. (like Kevin loves key lime pie, so maybe for a special ocassion I would make key like pie cheesecake or ice cream since he can't just buy that at the store)
Unfortunately not for the weekend...but I did arrange a sitter for Friday evening so we can go to dinner and a movie. I thought about inviting friends to come with, but he said he would really prefer for it just to be the two of us since we haven't seen each other much lately. Good call on the dessert--he said he wanted Oreo ice cream cake. Maybe I could make one of the Pinterest variations where I layer Oreos and brownie batter, bake it and maybe some ice cream on top after that and pop it in the freezer?
H loves to hear this from me too. I can always tell he's proud/feeling accomplished when I pay him a genuine compliment and tell him thank you. It's really sweet!
