San Diego

I fly out on Friday, I have almost all day friday and Saturday. Anyone been there and want to make recs? I'm thinking of doing the bike ride up the coast, but my original plan feel through, so I don't know if it's going to work.

Re: San Diego

  • Gas Lamp District in San Diego.

    San Diego Zoo

Hopping over for lunch at the Hotel Del in Coronado.  The place is seriously beautiful and there is a little boardwalk over there.  Coronado is a cute, little, walkable town.

  • I second the Gaslamp and the Hotel Del. Also, Balboa Park is really nice--quite a few museums, cafes, gardens and walking trails. I killed an afternoon there when I was out there for work earlier this year.
  • Go to La Jolla. So beautiful. I also third the Hotel Del.

Have a wonderful trip. SD is gorgeous.

  • Another vote for Coronado and second La Jolla. In fact if I could only go to one place in San Diego it would be La Jolla. Just loved it there! Have fun!
  • Great! I'm staying in La Jolla, but not downtown, over by the University. I think I'm going with my original plan of renting a bike for the day and just going around everywhere.
